Dahlias - two in one, named "Peace"

Each painting is a learning experience and this was no exception. The largest watercolor I've painted so far, matted to fit in a 16 x 20 frame. Some just seem to paint themselves, so was the case with this; maybe it helped that I love the colors.

Kathy,

I will leave a comment here, instead of the group messages, since with my own blog I feel it is such a gift when people leave comments! Yours is worthy of gifts, looks very professional and I like the paintings you have chosen. When I get my act together to know how to include such things, do you want a link to your blog on my blog?

Congrats on a great effort and I wish you luck with your blog from here on.

Kathy this is so lovely! The way you got inside the flower is wonderful. You colors pop! You have wonderful depth to your petals! I marked you as a "fav" and will come back and see what other wonders you create!

About Me

My photo
As a child I began designing my own clothes while in 5th grade. Grandma let me use fabric from her stash and showed me how to use the treadle machine. My love for art and the creative began at that point, always having a current project of some kind. Painting has provided a unique creative outlet for me that I am thankful for, an exciting journey where there's always something new to learn.
